ineo+ 2070: Greater media flexibility, ease of use and productivity
Langenhagen, Germany, February 2017 - DEVELOP’s new ineo+ 2070 production printer, the successor to the ineo+ 1060 series, offers greater media flexibility, ease of use and higher productivity – significant enhancements to add to the proven performance and print quality of the previous models. The new production printer will appeal to commercial printers and in-house printrooms with high volume requirements, enabling workflows to be streamlined and new print services generated.

Broader media support
The ineo+ 2070 comes with enhanced thick paper support for various media types, e.g. coated and embossed paper of up to 350 g/m2 in simplex and duplex operating mode. 350 g/m2 is what is needed to print business cards, for example. A new large-capacity banner tray enables banners of up to 750 x 330 mm to be printed efficiently, e.g. for book covers and triple-fold menus. As the printing speed for C5 envelopes (70 per minute) is also twice that of the previous model, envelope printing is now a more profitable option. What’s more, the large-capacity output tray – big enough for 3,000 A4 pages and 300 banners – means this production printer is suitably equipped for high-volume print jobs.
Improved workflow productivity
The ineo+ 2070 offers appealing ease of use, which starts with the operating panel. Thanks to IWS (Internal Web Server) support the user interface can be customised to suit individual operator requirements, while OpenAPI support provides a seamless interface between this system and third-party solutions for accounting, authentication or scan routing, e.g. YSoft SafeQ and Nuance eCopy Sharescan. The ability to print from and scan to a USB stick is particularly convenient if customers come into a commercial printshop or in-house printroom with their file on a stick.
Greater productivity
The scanning performance of the ineo+ 2070 is a significant enhancement. The new colour dual scanner runs at up to 240 ipm and features a double-feed detection kit to avoid scanning two sheets at once. With a 300-sheet capacity document feeder, the ineo+ 2070 is also ideally equipped for high-volume scanning jobs and also has a standard double-feed detection kit to avoid scanning two sheets at once. At the other end of the output chain two new and highly robust finishing options enable professional booklet making since the ineo+ 2070 comes with Plockmatic and Watkiss PowerSquare™ 224KR support.
Excellent print quality
Outstanding colour and registration stability go hand in hand with excellent print quality in the ineo+ 2070. Moreover, print providers can choose between three different controllers – EFI®, Creo or DEVELOP’s own technology – to enjoy intuitive operability and first-class print output. Such production efficiency is sure to save both time and money.
