BLI Summer 2014 Pick Awards - DEVELOP’s winning team

Five ineo devices and ineoPRINT app awarded

Langenhagen, September 2014: The BLI Summer 2014 Pick Awards were a success for DEVELOP with five ineo devices and the ineoPRINT app ending up among the winners. The BLI jury was impressed by the ease of use, image quality, reliability and productivity the five devices offered and the app’s outstanding security features.

Success in meeting customers’ needs
“These BLI Awards are proof of the success of our on-going efforts to meet different customers’ needs across diverse work environments and our commitment to the development of a wide range of products featuring advanced, user-friendly technology,” says Olaf Lorenz, General Manager, International Marketing Division Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe. BLI Awards are granted twice a year by Buyers Lab (BLI), an independent company that evaluates office document equipment and solution products based on an extensive list of different criteria.

Outstanding monochrome multifunctionals
The award-winning A3 monochrome devices – the ineo 754e, ineo 654e and ineo 454e – particularly impressed the BLI jury on account of their print quality, reliability and ease of use. The ineo 454e, for example, convinced the BLI jury through its top-class image quality, high reliability over the course of an extensive 200,000-impression test and numerous other factors that contributed to its excellent ease of use. These factors included a well-designed control panel, faster than average scan speeds, a colour scan preview and support for scan to PowerPoint, which the BLI jury pointed out, is not a standard feature of most competing models.

Productive reliability and flexibility
Two A4 monochrome devices, the ineo 4750 and ineo 4050, also garnered BLI Awards. The BLI jury praised the flawless reliability over 75,000 impressions and quick maintenance procedures of the ineo 4750, for example. The jury was also impressed by ease-of-use features that help workers to be more productive. Referring to the My Tab customisation function, BLI European Lab Manager Martin Soane pointed out that “BLI loves the flexibility that comes with such high levels of customisation”. Another strong feature was that the ineo 4750 “produced some of the best image quality we’ve seen to date,” as Martin Soane added. Given the huge number of devices BLI tests, that is praise indeed.

Powerfully punching print app
ineoPRINT, the free app for iOS and Android devices, convinced the BLI jury because it “packs a powerful punch with its strong feature set and, in particular, excellent security functions”, as BLI European Solutions Analyst Ilja Reuckis pointed out. “While mobile printing is becoming so prevalent, the practice is not without significant IT risk; ineoPRINT mitigates most of that risk with some of the most stringent security features we’ve seen.” BLI praised features such as secure print release, user authentication, QR code authentication, encryption and password protection for captured documents and the app’s storage folder in a single handy package. With the menu also seen as being easy to navigate, the BLI jury concluded that ineoPRINT is an impressive mobile print solution.
